After weeks of speculations, Star Plus released a promo to confirm that GHPKM is witnessing a massive change in its plot.

Just when we thought that the drama in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein is over, the makers dropped a big bomb. The channel and the production house remained tight-lipped about the leap throughout the time media reported about it. Producer Rajesh Ram Singh even tried to 'stop the fan backlash' over the 'time jump' by denying the rumour.

However, the rumour turned out to be true as Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin saw a big change in the storyline. The show has not only taken a leap of seven years but also witnessed the exit of the male lead Shakti Arora. The handsome actor, who played the role of Ishaan, has shot for his last episode.

Shakti got emotional as he wrapped up his final episode and cut a cake on the sets of the romantic drama. His co-star Bhavika Sharma turned cheerleader for him as he extended warm wishes to the new male lead. He bid adieu to the show as the makers introduced a leap and bumped off his character.

Hitesh Bharadwaj, who was last seen in Udaariyaan, has been confirmed as the new hero of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. He has replaced Shakti Arora, taking over the charge from him.

"The Choti Sarrdaarni actor fits the bill perfectly for the new hero. We liked his audition as he nailed it completely. He also looks good when paired with Bhavika Sharma. So, we decided to go ahead with the casting," a source earlier told Filmibeat.

The channel released a promo to confirm the release date of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin leap episodes.

The leap episode featuring the new cast aired on Star Plus on Thursday (June 20). Fans shared their opinion on social media after watching the episode.

One user mentioned that he is happy to see Manasi Salvi (Isha) and Indraneil Bhattacharya (Shantanu) getting retained in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. One user tweeted, Savi's aai and baba!! I'm so glad they kept Isha and Shantanu even after the leap!! We finally get to see them being domestic and their relationship with Savi (sic)."
