A source told Filmibeat, "After seeing the backlash, the channel and the production house decided to call off the leap idea. Producer Rajesh Ram Singh broke his silence over the rumours about the show taking a leap and Shakti Arora's exit. He squashed the speculations over a potential time jump in the storyline and also addressed the conjecture over Shakti leaving the hit serial.

Rajesh said that he is upset with the rumour spreading on the internet. Talking about Shakti's future, he confirmed that the Silsila actor will continue to be a part of the show. "There's no leap happening anytime soon. Shakti Arora is not going anywhere. Don't know from where these reports came from," Rajesh told Zoom as quoted as saying by TellyExpress.

When asked about replacing Shakti, the producer shut down the rumours, stating that he is a good actor and why would the production house replace him. Calling Shakti a professional, Rajesj said that the storyline of the leads has just commenced and why he would bring a 10-year leap and disturb everything.
