The budget issues were also considered while taking the drastic decision. Considering the salary of the lead actors, the makers thought of trimming down the cost by bringing a fresher face opposite Bhavika. Shakti charges a bomb for the show and hence, the production costs were introduced to bring down the total expenditure," a source exclusively told Filmibeat.

While there was a buzz that the production house has approached Harshad Chopda for the lead role, there's no truth to the story. The Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is neither doing the show nor the makers have finalised the new lead of GHKPM. The auditions are still underway.

A credible source informed, "Harshad Chopda is not doing Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. Can say it with 100 percent conviction. He has not even been approached for the show. There are always budget issues when hiring a popular actor and the makers are currently busy with the auditions.
