Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin update: It's difficult to believe that Shakti Arora is no longer a part of GHKPM. The talented actor, who joined the show in 2023, has bid adieu after playing the role of Ishaan. After several weeks of speculations, he confirmed his exit from Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein.

Gossip mills were buzzing with the rumours about Shakti Arora's replacement since a long time. The channel and the production house decided to remain tight-lipped about the development. The audiences were shocked when Star Plus released a new promo to officially announce the seven-year leap.

In a major development, the creative team introduced the leap and new male lead to spice up the drama. Earlier, producer Rajesh Ram Singh had denied the buzz about Shakti leaving Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin.

Shakti left Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin as the makers believed that Ishaan-Savi's love story had run its course and they wanted to bring a fresh storyline. While the Silsila actor was asked to leave, Bhavika Sharma was retained.

Hitesh Bharadwaj has Shakti Arora as the new hero of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. His entry has already aired in the episode. The Udaariyaan star is playing the role of Rajat, who is a single father to Saisha (Amarya Khanna).

"I am portraying the character of Rajat Thakkar; he is a businessman who, though stern from the outside, has an emotional side to him as well. For the world, he has showcased a different side; he has a past that he wants to forget. Rajat has a daughter named Saisha ( Sai) whom he loves dearly," Hitesh said in statement as quoted as saying by India Forums.

The ardent viewers of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein were unhappy over the leap as they wanted the makers to explore 'IshVi's story'. However, the production house decided to go ahead with the leap despite the fan backlash.

To mark their disappointment, fans trended 'Shakti Aced Ishaan' and 'No Shakti No GHKPM' on X (earlier known as Twitter). The actor received a special surprise farewell gift from his beloved fans as they praised him for the way he played the role of Ishaan.

Shakti said that he is 'completely overwhelmed' with the response of his fans and well-wishers. He told TellyExpress, "The way they have loved me feels truly blessed. Also, the way they have supported me. I am happy that I will ultilise my talent in other projects to win their love again."
