While the makers retained Bhavika Sharma, Shakti had to leave the romantic drama. The channel and the production house remained tight-lipped about the development throughout the time the rumours about the leap made buzz.

As the makers decided to take a leap, they bumped off Shakti Arora's character Ishaan from the serial. The Silsila actor shot for his last episode last month, leaving the audience upset. Ardent viewers of the show expressed their displeasure over the change in track as they believed that Ishaan and Savi's love story had potential. They shared their thoughts on social media, stating that the decision to introduce a new lead could backfire.

Hitesh Bharadwaj replaced Shakti Arora as the new Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin male lead after the production house incorporated the 7-year old. After his exit, the numbers have dropped; however, the makers are confident they will bounce back.

"Hitesh Bharadwaj fits the bill perfectly for the character of Rajat. The channel is confident that the fresh pairing will work wonders for the show. We selected Hitesh the day his look test with Bhavika Sharma impressed. Bhavika Sharma, who plays the role of Savi, shared her thoughts about the new entry and talked about their bond. We are talking about Saisha aka Amayra Khurana. She called her little co-star 'bundle of joy', adding that their bond has become stronger with every passing day.

"Amayra Khurana, whom you see playing the role of Sai in the show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein, is a means of joy and happiness for us. Be it on screen, off screen, or on the sets, our world revolves around her. I have become so habitual with her presence that I feel that whatever amount of time I spend with her is less.
