Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin Twist: In a major development, the makers of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein introduced a leap in the show to spice up the drama. After the leap, several actors bid adieu to the daily soap. Shakti Arora, who played the role of Ishaan, is no longer a part of GHKPM.

While Shakti Arora left the serial, Bhavika Sharma was retained by the production house. The makers reportedly believed that there was nothing left to explore in Savi and Ishaan's love story and hence, they went ahead with the leap idea.

After several weeks of speculations, Star Plus confirmed that Hitesh Bharadwaj has been locked as the new male lead. The Choti Sarrdaarni actor is playing the role of Rajat in the serial. He has taken over the charge from Shakti Arora. Hitesh, Kaveri Priyam, Ankit Arora, Anuj Khanna, Varun Jain, Amarya Khanna are the new entries in Ghum Hain Kisikey Pyaar Meiin.

Earlier a source told Filmibeat, "Hitesh Bharadwaj fits the bill perfectly for the role that we have envisioned. He will take over the charge from Shakti Arora. Hitesh and Bhavika looked compatible in the promo that we shot and their chemistry was also scorching. We are hopeful GHKPM will rise to new heights after the seven-year leap."

BHAVIKA SHARMA (SAVI) REACTS TO GHUM HAI KISIKEY PYAAR MEIIN LEAP

Bhavika Sharma (Savi) broke her silence after Shakti Arora's exit and the seven-year leap in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. She said that her character has become matured following the leap as she has grown-up and no longer a college girl. Savi has 'paced down in her life', she said as she explained the changes in the romantic drama after the 'time jump'.

The Maddam Sir actress spoke about the 'hurdles' in Savi's life following Ishaan's (Shakti Arora) death. She also spoke about her new look where she is seen sporting sarees in the serial.

"Savi ke life mein bahut hurdles aaye hai. Vo bahut jyada mature hogyi hai. Uska look bhi change hogya hai. Vo college going girl nahi rahi. Kafi maturity agayi hai, badi hogyi hai Usne pace down kar liya hai," Bhavika Sharma told Saas Bahu Aur Betiyaan.
