After the rumours spread like wildfire, the production house stated that the conjecture was false and they didn't wish to have a time jump or replace Shakti Arora as the lead.

"After seeing the backlash, the channel and the production house decided to call off the leap idea. Yes, leap was discussed and the auditions also started; however, the fans' reaction and leak of leap news forced the executives to change the decision," a source told Filmibeat.

A source close to the production house exclusively told Filmibeat, "The makers have planned to spice up the drama by introducing a new character. It will be cameo role for Karanvir Bohra. Having played iconic characters like Virat and Prem, he fits the bill perfectly for the show. Considering his acting prowess and willingness to experiment with role, the makers found him the right actor for an important role."
