After several weeks of speculations, Shakti Arora made an exit from GHKPM while Hitesh Bharadwaj replaced him as the new lead of the show. Hitesh Bharadwaj and Bhavika Sharma are the new protagonists of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin following the seven-year leap.

The makers dropped an intriguing promo to introduce Hitesh Bharadwaj aka Rajat Thakkar. While Bhavika Sharma continues to play the role of Savi, Amayra Khurana is seen as Saisha (Sai).

Hitesh Bharadwaj shared an update about the leap and twist in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein. The Udaariyaan actor said that he is very excited to be a part of the romantic drama. Calling himself blessed, he said that he is happy he got an opportunity to be a part of it.

"I am portraying the character of Rajat Thakkar; he is a businessman who, though stern from the outside, has an emotional side to him as well. For the world, he has showcased a different side; he has a past that he wants to forget. Rajat has a daughter named Saisha ( Sai) whom he loves dearly, but due to unforeseen circumstances, he also detaches himself from her," Hitesh Bharadwaj said in a statement as quoted as saying by India Forums.

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin originally starred Neil Bhatt and Ayesha Singh as the main leads. Last year, Shakti Arora and Bhavika Sharma took over the charge from them after the makers introduced a generation leap.
