In a major development, Star Plus released a new promo to officially announce the seven-year leap. After several weeks of speculation, the channel confirmed that Hitesh Bharadwaj would replace Shakti Arora as the new hero of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin.

"Hitesh Bharadwaj fits the bill perfectly for the character of Rajat. The channel is confident that the fresh pairing will work wonders for the show. We selected Hitesh the day his look test with Bhavika Sharma impressed. Hitesh Bharadwaj recently gave a shout out to Bhavika Sharma after replacing Shakti Arora. He praised his Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein co-star and talked about their new pairing.

The Choti Sarrdaarni actor also opened up about Savi and Rajat's differences. Showering Bhavika with appreciation, he said that he admires her childlike behaviour and energy.

The Udaariyaan star confirmed that the upcoming episodes will be filled with high-voltage drama. "Whether Savi and Rajat's misunderstanding reduces or ignites more is something to watch out for," Hitesh Bharadwaj told India Forums.
