While media reports stated that leap is the reason behind Shaki Arora's departure from Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, the channel has decided to trim the budget for the show. As the Silsila actor was paid a whopping amount for his stint in GHKPM, the makers decided to end his character and introduce a new lead, who is charging 1/2th of what Shakti was getting paid per episode."

Hitesh Bharadwaj, who was last seen in Udaariyaan, was locked as the new hero as he fit the bill perfectly. He is playing the role of Rajat in the hit romantic drama, which is the Hindi remake of Bengali show Kusum Dola.

When asked if he is 'perturbed' after replacing Shakti Arora, Hitesh said that it is easier for him as he has a set path to walk on.

"On the contrary, it is easier as you have a set path to walk on. We must up the graph for which we are all working hard," Hitesh Bharadwaj told Tellyexpress.

Several new actors including Kaveri Priyam, Anuj Khanna, Varun Jain, Amarya Khurana, Ankit Arora have joined Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin after the leap was introduced.
