Earlier gossip mills suggested that Bhavika Sharma will be retained while Shakti Arora will make an exit. Later, a report in Times of India said that the production house is planning to replace the lead couple as they believe there's not much to explore in Ishaan and Savi's love story.

Hitesh Bharadwaj has signed the contract with the production house. The Udaariyaan actor has already shot the promo for the show.

"Hitesh aced the audition test and seemed the perfect choice for the role. He will be seen in a different role in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. Shakti Arora will shoot for his last episode in the upcoming days. Viewers to wait and watch for the mega twist in the show that will keep them on the edge of their seats," a source close to the show told Filmibeat.

"Bhavika Sharma and Hitesh Bharadwaj have been filmed the promo for the new episode. It will have a different flavour, introducing the new storyline of the show. The new promo will be unveiled later this week, marking the beginning of season three," the source added.
