After several weeks of speculation, Star Plus confirmed the leap twist and introduced Hitesh Bharadwaj as the new male lead of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. The Choti Sarrdaarni actor replaced Shakti Arora as the new hero of the show. While Bhavika Sharma was retained, Shakti's character (Ishaan) was killed in the romantic drama.

There's a massive twist in store for the viewers of Ghum Hain Kisikey Pyaar Mein. The makers, who have faced criticism for 'copying Yeh Hai Mohabbatein', have decided to take things a notch higher. The drama quotient in the show will be increased in the upcoming episodes.

Ghum Hai's new entry Mamata spilled the beans on the new twist and Savi-Rajat's meeting. "Mamta ke paas ek benefit hai. Rajat ki sister Taara bhabhi bhi chahati hai ki Rajat ki second wife bani. Jis tarah se Mamta act kar rahi hai, Sai ki achi mummy banne ki, Rajat ko lagta hai ki Mamta Sai ka khayal rakhegi," she told Saas Bahu Aur Betiyan.

The actress said that Rajat's family members wish to see Mamta as 'Rajat's wife' because they believe 'she's perfect for Sai'.
