Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin twist: Bhavika Sharma and Hitesh Bharadwaj's show has witnessed a drop in ratings ever since the leap was introduced. While the romantic drama is performing well compared to daily soaps on other channels, Jhanak, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Anupamaa and Udne Ki Aasha have pushed GHKPM to the number five spot in the BARC TRP ratings.

After weeks of speculation, Star Plus released a promo to officially announce the seven-year leap. While Bhavika Sharma was retained, Shakti Arora left the serial. As the makers believed that Ishaan and Savi's love story had no potential, they decided to bump off Shakti's character.

Hitesh Bharadwaj took over the charge of the show from Shakti as he played the new male lead in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. The finale episode featured Ishaan's death generated a TRP of 2.6, proving that the viewers were interested in the storyline. After Shakti's exit, the TRPs have seen a drop as the ardent viewers have expressed their displeasure over the similarity in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin and Yeh Hai Mohabbatein's tracks.

"Hitesh Bharadwaj fits the bill perfectly for the character of Rajat. The channel is confident that the fresh pairing will work wonders for the show. We selected Hitesh the day his look test with Bhavika Sharma impressed. Considering his acting prowess, we are hopeful that he will take the show to new heights," a source exclusively told Filmibeat.

While Hitesh is seen as Rajat, Amayra Khurana plays his on-screen daughter Saisha (Sai). The likes of Kaveri Priyam, Ankit Arora, Anuj Khurana, Varun Jain have also joined Ghum Hai following the leap in the serial.

There's a buzz on social media that two characters will return to seek revenge from Savi (Bhavika Sharma). Gossip mills have suggested that the two actors might make a comeback to the hit Star Plus daily soap. However, there's no official confirmation about the same.

According to a report in Prabhat Khabar, Yashwant Rao Bhosala (Nimai Bali) and Surekha Deshmukh Bhosale (Vaishali Thakkar) might make a re-entry in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. The production house has remained tight-lipped about the develpment.

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin originally starred Ayesha Singh, Neil Bhatt and Aishwarya Sharma in lead roles. The show airs at 8pm from Monday to Sunday on Star Plus.
