In a major development, the makers introduced a leap to spice up the drama. Interestingly, the channel and the production remained tight-lipped throughout the time when speculations about the 'time jump' surfaced on the internet.

According to a report in Times Of India, the makers didn't wish to continue with Ishaan and Savi's story as they believed that there 'was nothing left to explore in IshVi's lives'. While the fans didn't agree to the 'claim', the production house went ahead with the leap.

Shakti Arora left Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin as his character was bumped off from the show. He got emotional on the last day of his shoot as he wrapped up the shoot. The Silsila actor cut a cake, extending his warm wishes to the entire cast and crew.

Shakti welcomed the new male lead Hitesh Bharadwaj and hoped that he would win the hearts of the audience. The Kundali Bhagya actor trended on social media as the fans shared their thoughts on exit. After several weeks of speculations, Hitesh Bharadwaj was finalised as the new hero of Ghum Hai. The Choti Sarrdaarnii actor is playing the role of Rajat. He will be joined by the likes of Amarya Khanna, Varun Jain, Anuj Khanna and Kaveri Priyam following the leap.

"Hitesh Bharadwaj fits the bill perfectly for the role that we have envisioned. He will take over the charge from Shakti Arora. Hitesh and Bhavika looked compatible in the promo that we shot and their chemistry was also scorching. We are hopeful GHKPM will rise to new heights after the seven-year leap," a source from the production house exclusively told Filmibeat.
