Hamara Parivar Actress Elakshi Gupta Shares Her Fitness

Elakshi Gupta, best known as Sakshi from Zee TV's Hamara Parivar, is an inspiration when it comes to maintaining fitness amid a hectic lifestyle. The actress, who also appeared in Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, manages a demanding shooting schedule and her personal commitments while staying in shape. Here's how she juggles long work hours, travel, and her health regimen.

Balancing fitness with a packed schedule is no small feat, especially when working on a daily soap that demands shooting for 8-10 hours a day, 14 days a month. Add to this Elakshi's frequent travel between Pune, where she also runs a dental clinic, and Mumbai for shoots, and her fitness challenges are multiplied.

"Before joining Hamara Parivar, I worked out almost five days a week and followed a strict diet plan. But once I started shooting, keeping up with my fitness routine became difficult," she admits. Despite these challenges, Elakshi has found ways to stay healthy and active.

For Elakshi, diet plays a crucial role in maintaining her physique. She credits her intermittent fasting plan for keeping her weight in check even when workout sessions are scarce. "On set, I have breakfast by 9 a.m. and finish my last meal around 6:30 p.m.," she shares.

Her breakfast typically consists of paneer paratha or chilla, providing enough energy until lunch at 2 p.m. When at home, she opts for oats with protein powder, dry fruits, and black coffee. Elakshi avoids milk tea, relying instead on black coffee for a caffeine boost. Her lunch and dinner are simple but nutritious, including 50 grams of rice, 100 grams of vegetables, and a protein source like paneer or dal.

"I avoid chapatis, wheat, processed snacks, fried foods, and sweets," she says, though she doesn't deprive herself entirely. "If I crave something, I take a small bite and compensate with extra effort in my next workout."Elakshi incorporates movement into her day even during shoots.

"I prefer taking stairs instead of lifts, whether I'm at the airport or on set. If I need something, I don't ask the spot boy to fetch it for me-I go get it myself," she says This habit, while simple, keeps her body active and prevents her from feeling sluggish.

Traveling between Pune and Mumbai leaves her with only about 12 days a month for dedicated workouts, but Elakshi ensures she stays consistent whenever possible.

"When workouts aren't possible, I rely on my nutrition plan and intermittent fasting to maintain my fitness," she explains.

Elakshi's approach to health is a testament to the idea that consistency and small efforts can make a big difference. By prioritizing proper nutrition, staying active during work, and adapting her routine to her schedule, she manages to maintain her fitness even with limited time.
