Hina Khan Breast Cancer: The entire entertainment fraternity and social media went into a huge shock when actress Hina Khan, primarily known for her role of Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, announced that she has been diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. The actress has been receiving immense support from the industry. Celebrities such as Rubina Dilaik, Rohit Purohit, Mouni Roy, Shilpa Shetty, Ekta Kapoor, and others came out in support of the actress, extending their concern. Now, in an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat, Sanjay Gandhi, who has worked with Hina in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, where he essayed the role of Dada ji, has opened up about how he was in denial mode when he first got to know about Hina's cancer.

Sanjay Gandhi said that when he first learned about Hina's cancer diagnosis, he immediately dropped a message to her. The actor said, "I have dropped a message to Hina. I felt really bad when I got to know that Hina has been diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. I immediately called Sanjeev Seth, who played Hina's on-screen dad in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, as he and his wife Lata are constantly in touch with Hina. I am confident that Hina will defeat this diagnosis as, as far as I know, breast cancer, unlike other cancers, doesn't spread rapidly."

The actor further added, "Hina is a strong girl. I have worked for many years with her. She is very passionate, and her will and inner strength are very strong. Even today, when I read any post related to her cancer, I feel really bad for her because she has been someone whom I have worked closely with. She is a very good person, and the journey with her when I worked in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has been memorable. I wish her all the best, and I hope she will defeat the diagnosis."

As of now, Hina is undergoing treatment for her cancer diagnosis. She has already completed her first chemotherapy session. In fact, the actress has been quite vocal about her recovery journey and has been sharing how, although the road to victory is quite painful, she is sure she will emerge as a winner and will defeat the deadly disease.
