International Men’s Day EXCLUSIVE | Vihan Verma Shares A Powerful Message: There’s Pressure To Look…

Vihan Verma became everyone's favourite when he featured in the popular show, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. He used to play the role of Mohit in the show, which also used to star Neil Bhatt and Aishwarya Sharma in the lead. Besides his acting, Vihaan is also loved for his adorable and hilarious videos on social media. And now, he has proved that he also believes in breaking social stereotypes.
On Tuesday, i.e. on the occasion of International Men's Day, Vihaan Verma explained why it is important for the showbiz world to present male characters on screen who are vulnerable and emotional. He argued that male characters are usually restricted when it comes to emotions on television and therefore, there is a need to change this.
"The industry can break down old ideas about men by showing them as emotional, vulnerable, and caring. By showing different sides of men's lives, it can challenge outdated stereotypes and promote a healthier view of masculinity," he said.
"A common belief is that men don't feel emotions deeply or should always be tough and independent. These ideas limit how men express themselves and ask for help, which isn't healthy or true," the actor added.
The young star further shared that even he became emotionally strong when he learnt to be open about his feelings. "In the industry, there's pressure to look a certain way and always seem strong. I overcame this by accepting my vulnerability and choosing roles that let me show a range of emotions and depth," he said.
