Exclusive! Jasmine Bhasin On Women's Safety Issue In Our Country, "Proper Self-Defense Training In Schools..."

Jasmine Bhasin is one of the most popular names in television and now, she is also making a mark in the Punjabi film industry. The actress is currently busy with the promotions of her Punjabi movie Ardaas Sarbat De Bhalle Di which also stars Gippy Grewal and Gurpreet Ghuggi.

In the trailer of the film, there's a scene where a character says that parents are going to pray for a son, but another character looks at a small girl and says that even having a daughter is good. Filmibeat interacted with the cast of Ardaas, and when asked about the issue of women's safety in our country, Jasmine said, "Families need to stop telling their daughters, 'don't go here, don't go there, this will happen, that will happen'. Families need to give confidence to daughters that you are strong. We need to fight, we need to work on our fitness and strength. We need to have proper self-defense training in schools."

"I personally took the training of self-defense if by chance I am in a difficult situation. Our families need to stop calling us 'bichari beti', and they need to tell the girls that a daughter was Durga and a daughter was Jhansi Ki Rani. The families and society needs to bring that confidence in us," she added.

Gurpreet Ghuggi further added, "She (Jasmine) is correct. If we underestimate our daughters then even society will do it. If we properly estimate our daughter then she will win the world."

Ardaas Sarbat De Bhalle Di Release Date

Ardaas Sarbat De Bhalle Di which is directed by Gippy Grewal is slated to release on 13th September 2024. It is the third instalment in the Ardaas series. The movie is Jasmine's fourth Punjabi movie. Before this she has done Punjabi films like Honeymoon, Warning 2, and Carry On Jattiye.
