Belonging from a lower economic background in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, contestant Sudheer Kumar Verma, is a farmer and student who juggles between helping his father with farming duties while pursuing his studies for the BTC (Basic Training Certificate), and simultaneously preparing for government exams. He comes from a very small village called Aganekheda, a village not even listed on Google Maps and lacks basic infrastructure. With his father's support, Sudheer's completed his education, but hasn't been successful in securing a good job; which has led to people in the village making fun of him.

Sudheer has always had faith in his education, and getting the opportunity to be on KBC is his answer to those who doubted him. Despite these hardships, Sudheer continued to study and is pursuing a teaching career to improve local schooling and his family's circumstances by securing a job. With farming being the primary career for his family, Sudheer's father rents additional land for cultivating other crops, but they are obliged to share 50% of the profits with the landowners, leaving them with minimal earnings.

Hence, KBC has emerged as a ray of hope for Sudheer, as he aims to use the winnings to buy 2 bighas of land for his father until he becomes self-sufficient to support the family.

Sudheer Kumar Verma who came along with his mother, deeply moved everyone with his respectful and responsible thought of being a helping hand to his family. With a determined attitude, Sudheer confidently went on to answer each and every question; making the game play even more interesting. In a sweet moment, Sudheer went on to ask Mr. Amitabh Bachchan to recite a dialogue from Agneepath, leading Mr. Bachchan to share a memorable story about how he developed the iconic baritone for his role.
