Krishna Mohini Actress Anoushka Chauhan: I'm A Person Who Resonates With Mountains

Actor Anoushka Chauhan, who is currently seen in Krishna Mohini on Colors, says she knows her true self and calls herself an artist, ambitious, tenacious, believer, and strategist. She can easily adapt to any situation or environment.

She said, "I am a person who has seen a different spectrum of life to its extremes but still believes it's just the beginning and there is a long way to go. I believe a person should change as per their surroundings and time, but values should be as solid as a mountain. And like a mountain, they take up space unapologetically."

"I am a person who resonates with mountains, like they represent the impossible made possible and the unconquerable conquest. It is kind of surrounded by beauty and calmness. I don't believe that I am a good person, but I definitely try my best to be one," she added.

She also confessed that people present their different sides to different people. She said, "Speaking for myself, I am someone who changes with every set of people on an extreme level. I want to find someone who is very sensitive and emotional in front of my parents, and I have a very fragile voice. In front of my closest friends, I am someone who is silly and adventurous, fun-loving, and doesn't think much. At work, I am someone who is very disciplined, calm, quiet, and very seductive with words. And I was very different in all the different kinds of jobs I have done."

"Honestly, in the industry we are working in, we have to be very sensitive about what kind of characteristics we display in front of a set of people, but that doesn't mean that you need to hide the truth from yourself. It is a way you draw a line between your personal and professional lives, and there is no harmony unless you are very decisive about your values and believe that, under any circumstances, they should be stagnant. And this virtue is always valued," she added.

She also believes that there is a side of us that we let out when no one is watching. She said, "Lots of people do not give themselves space to explore who they are when they are alone. It is very important to respect yourself and your comfort, because only then can one give the best to their loved ones and their passion. I believe that I am someone who is very comfortable with being alone, and I value the time that I spend alone a lot because the way I will behave with myself when I am alone determines how I am as a person."

Anoushka also pointed out the need for validation and said, "I'll be lying if I say that I do not seek validation. I feel, as an artist, that it comes from the convergence. But I believe in keeping it in control. In today's world, when we as artists are specially exposed to social media, we are following our likes or something that gives us validation about our craft, but honestly, sometimes it takes over my emotions, but I believe that is a platform that is not appropriate for an artist to seek validation from."

But she is not someone who believes in staying in her comfort zone. She said, "If you want to achieve anything extraordinary in your life you have to forget that you have a comfort zone that is meant to be broken again and again and again."

How has moving out of your comfort zone helped you? "For the longest time in my life I wanted to be in pageantry. It was my dream and that is something which I decided will be the way to become an actor.I was very much around it too but multiple times it did not work despite me being well prepared and idealistic for it. I decided that I need to get out of this comfort and strategy which I have made for myself. I need to take another way because the plan which we made is also a comfort zone that gives us confidence that this is the only way but that's not true. you have to change the plan, you have to be strong and you have to make difficult decisions. And I step out of my comfort zone."

"I am someone who most people find very friendly and talkative but honestly I am someone who gets extremely nervous and anxious in a public scenario but I always step out of my comfort zone and start a conversation with new people and I am always ready to face new challenges," Anoushka ended.
