Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 TRP: It's high time Sony Entertainment Television re-works on its strategy as the channel has been delivering flops after flops. Despite introducing a series of new fiction shows, nothing seems to be working for the channel. Their safest bet- KBC 2024 has turned out to be a major flop.

KAUN BANEGA CROREPATI TRP IN FIRST WEEK

Considering the promotional campaign for KBC 16, the industry experts expected a TVR of 1.2-1.5 for the reality show. However, Amitabh Bachchan's Kaun Banega Crorepati 2024 could only muster a rating of 0.8 in its opening week. The promotions failed, so did the marketing strategies of Sony TV.

The channel is lagging behind in the TRP race but it is still not working on ways to grab eyeballs. Superstar Singer 3 finale performed well, garnering a TRP of 1.5. However, the replacement show Aapka Apna Zakir failed to strike a chord with the audience. The show could only get 1/3 of Superstar Singer season 3's finale viewership.

IS KBC 16 A FLOP?

"It's too early to judge but the early estimates and viewership always play a deciding role in determining the success of the show. Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 has clearly failed to attract the viewers, meaning that the channel will have a hard time in selling the ad spots to advertisers," a reliable industry source told Filmibeat.

KBC 16 could only garner half numbers of Khatron Ke Khiladi 2024. Rohit Shetty's show registered a TVR of 1.8 in week 33, according to the latest BARC TRP ratings. Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 numbers fell short of other daily soaps like Mangal Lakshami, Kumkum Bhagya, Udne Ki Aasha and Waghle Ki Duniya.
