LATEST TRP Ratings: Zee TV BEATS Sony TV Again As Sumbul Touqeer's Kavya, Pukaar Become BIGGEST FLOP Shows

Latest TRP ratings: It's a brand new Thursday and time to present the TRP Report. The BARC TRP ratings for week 25 have been unveiled on June 27. The week didn't bring respite for Sony Entertainment Television as the channel continued to dwindle in the GEC race. While Star Plus has bounced back like magic, Sony TV is on a downfall. Sorry but a TVR of 0.2 is nothing to be proud of.

PUKAAR TURNS OUT TO BE THE BIGGEST FLOP OF 2024?

When Sony Entertainment Television axed Kuch Reet Jagat Ki Aisi Bhi, it was expected that the new show would perform better. While Kuch Reet was competing against IPL 2024, Pukaar has to tackle the competition from T20 World Cup matches. However, Meera Deosthale and Zaan Khan starrer was facing competition from IPL 2024 matches, which aired daily; unlike the T20 World Cup 2024 matches which gain momentum when India (Men in Blue) play the game.

Pukaar has failed to strike a chord with the audience, resulting in low viewership. It could only register a TRP of 0.2 at the competitive 8:30pm. This is when Star Plus doesn't have an original show at the 8:30pm slot.

We wonder if Sony TV executives are playing the cards well and doing proper market research or not. Low ratings are never good for advertising revenue, specially for GECs.

CAN SUMBUL TOUQEER KAVYA BOUNCE BACK?

When Sumbul Touqeer decided to make her return to the fiction space with Kavya, everyone gushed with happiness. After all, she is terrific performer, who lights up the screen with her acting prowess. However, her magic didn't work as the makers of Kavya-Ek Jazbaa Ek Junoon don't know how to run tracks properly.

The shift from one track to another has not been smooth and the addition of unnecessary twists and turns didn't help either. Sony TV programming team, we hope you understand your niche audience and not provide them with mindless and dramatic daily soaps with no logic.

ZEE TV BEATS SONY TV IN TRP RACE

History repeated itself as Zee TV shows including Kundali Bhagya, Kumkum Bhagya, Bhagyalakshmi outshined all the Sony TV shows. Barring Superstar Singer 3, none of the shows from Sony Entertainment Television could muster a TRP of 1.

It's time to smell the coffee and take required action Sony TV folks.
