Laughter Chefs Episode Update | Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi On Meeting Dharmendra: A Dream…

Recently the original He-Man of the industry Dharmendra came to grace popular reality show Laughter Chefs. Celebrity judge of the show chef Harpal Singh Sokhi had a great time with the legend. Sharing his emotions Sokhi says, "Meeting Dharmendraji was like a dream come true. I think we have to thank the opportunity we got through Laughter Chefs on Colors TV. There are so many things to learn from Dharmendraji-how humble he is and how he stays so fit even at this age. His skin still glows. Meeting a legend whom you've admired since childhood, seeing him in iconic films and reciting his famous dialogues over the years, was an amazing experience. It became a special moment for all of us on Laughter Chefs.
Chef also adds, "I believe that he is a living legend living his life with zest. Looking at him today, I understand why people used to say that girls were crazy about Dharmendra Ji. They would be all over him, and now I get why. If you shake his hand today, it's still firm. He has a fit and perfect body, follows an exercise routine, eats good food, and the best part is that he still drinks traditional lassi and cooks with real butter.
There's a misconception that to stay slim, you need to stop eating, but meeting him makes you realize that's wrong. You can eat well and still stay fit by exercising, which keeps your face glowing. The way he interacts with everyone is so humble; he greets everyone with a "hello."
The most interesting thing for me was when he first met me on the set. He said in Punjabi, "Oh Harpal, you've worn a new chef coat color today. You always wear such lovely chef coat colors, and they look great on you." This simple comment created a memorable moment for me. Dharmendraji noticed my chef coats and made such a nice remark, which felt really special to me."
Chef Harpal has always followed Dharmendra's work on the silver screen. He says,"Dharmendraji has been part of some great iconic films. He has immortalised roles in movies like "Dharam Veer," "Sholay," and the comedy "Naukar Biwi Ka." I must say that his comedy timing was also very strong. He has been an action hero and a romantic hero. He has played many characters, and comedy has played a significant part in his roles.
In "Sholay," for instance, there are comical moments within serious scenes. When he teases Basanti behind the temple or when he teases Mausi Ji while climbing the water tank, these moments are funny and memorable.
One important thing which I have learned from him is that you have to create and leave behind your own unique impression and image so that people remember you for it."
