Laughter Chefs TRP: It's time to send congratulatory messages to Karan Kundrra and the entire team of Laughter Chefs as their show has become the top-rated property on Colors channel. The cooking-based reality show has managed to keep the audience engaged with its entertaining episodes on weekends.

Gossip mills suggested that Laughter Chefs might go off air Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 is launched on Colors TV. The channel confirmed that Rohit Shetty's KKK 14 will premiere on July 27 at 9:30pm slot. This sparked rumours about Karan Kundrra's show ending in next two weeks.

However, Filmibeat confirmed that Colors is no mood to end Laughter Chefs. It is their most popular show at the moment and there's no prize for guessing that the channel wants to push it further to strengthen weak weekday slot.

"Laughter Chefs is a popular property for Colors TV. The channel might give an extension to the show and shift it to either 8 or 8:30pm slot on weekends. There's no official confirmation about the same as the actors are still busy shooting for Laughter Chefs," a khabri earlier said.

Guess what? The reality show is getting an extension and shifting to the weekday slot. Yes, you read that right!

"As Lakshmi Narayan and Suhagan Chudail were not fetching amazing ratings during the 10-11pm slot, the channel has decided to experiment by shifting Laughter Chefs to Thursday and Friday 10pm slot. It is a gamble and the programming team is confident that Karan Kundrra's show will continue to grab eyeballs at a new time slot," a source told Filmibeat.

Laughter Chefs added a new feather on its crown as it emerged as the number one show on Colors channel. The show secured a TRP of 1.9, beating other Colors' dramas like Mangal Lakshmi, Mera Balam Thanedaar, Parineetii and Shiv Shakti-Tap Tyaag Tandav

Karan Kundrra recently shot with veteran actor Dharmendra for a special episode of Laughter Chefs. The Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai star shared a heartfelt post to express his happiness. His Instagram post read, "khushnaseeb hoon jo aashirvaad lene ka mauka mila.. jug jug jiyo wadde Deol Sahab!! @aapkadharam."
