Meetha Khatta Pyaar Hamara EXCLUSIVE: Romel Raj Krishna To Play An Antagonist In The Newly-Launched Show

Meetha Khatta Pyaar Hamara Update: Amid huge expectations, Star Plus recently launched new show Khatta Meetha Pyaar Hamara starring Avinash Mishra, Prerna Singh, and Aarchi Sachdeva in the lead roles. Now, another talented actor, Romel Raj Krishna, has joined the cast as the show's villain.

Recently, Romel Raj Krishna opened up about making his TV debut as an antagonist in Meetha Khatta Pyaar Hamara.

He revealed his journey to become an actor and said, "I'm from Patna, Bihar! The world of movies always fascinated me. I remember watching films in theatres and wished I could do the same. But growing up in a small city, I didn't know if this was even a career option for me. "

He added, "I studied in a boarding school and that's how I got into theatre. The first time I performed on a stage was in front of 500 people and that whole experience was transformative. And not just the performance part, but the whole preparation part was so much fun."

For those who are unaware, the actor studied engineering. Talking about his education, he continued, "When I was in 10th grade, I started to Google about a career in acting. Got to know there are a few acting schools as well. However, I still wasn't sure and didn't know how to tell my parents about it. Hence I joined an engineering college and those 4 years convinced me that acting is what I'm supposed to do."

Romel Raj Krishna revealed about shifting to Mumbai and shared, "During my final year, I researched places where I could train myself as an actor. Right after finishing college, I came to Mumbai. Trained myself and did theatre while doing a job simultaneously to support myself financially. In the beginning I got small cameo in popular shows like Saavi Ki Savaari and Saubhagyavati Bhava: Niyam Aur Shartein Laagu. I was part of historical drama Swaraj too. But I'm excited to finally get my big project Meetha Khatta Pyaar Hamara."

Talking ahead about his role he added, "The character I'm playing is named Babloo. It's a negative character that I'm portraying in this show. He is a middle class guy who married a girl from a rich family. It's been 5-6 years of marriage and I also have a kid. I'm now torturing my wife for money. Blackmailing her so that she can get me money from her rich parents."

Meetha Khatta Pyaar Hamara was launched last week on Star Plus starring Prerna Singh, Avinash Mishra, and Aarchi Sachdeva. The channel ventures into uncharted territory with a fresh storyline.
