National
Girl
Child
Day
2024
Exclusive:
Every
year
on
January
24,
National
Girl
Child
Day
is
commemorated
to
bring
attention
to
the
challenges
confronted
by
girls
in
Indian
society.
The
day
is
dedicated
to
raising
awareness
about
the
disparities
faced
by
girls
and
advocating
for
equal
opportunities
in
education,
healthcare,
and
nutrition.
The
government,
through
National
Girl
Child
Day,
aims
to
underscore
the
principles
of
equality
and
dignity
for
every
girl
child.
This
annual
event
underscores
the
significance
of
providing
girls
with
equal
opportunities
and
respect,
promoting
their
education
and
overall
well-being.
National
Girl
Child
Day
is
in
alignment
with
various
campaigns
and
programs
initiated
by
the
Indian
government,
including
Beti
Bachao,
Beti
Padhao.
It
represents
a
collective
endeavor
to
tackle
issues
such
as
child
marriage,
discrimination,
and
violence
against
girls.
Sana
Sayyad,
the
TV
star
currently
portraying
the
lead
character
of
Palki
in
the
popular
ZEE
TV
show
Kundali
Bhagya,
shares
her
insights
on
the
National
Girl
Child
Day.
Talking
about
the
same,
she
stated,
"As
we
celebrate
National
Girl
Child
Day,
I
feel
it's
really
important
for
us
to
think
about
how
people
see
girls
in
our
society.
Sadly,
there
are
still
wrong
opinions
about
girls.
While
there
are
positive
individuals
and
families
supporting
girls
to
move
forward
in
life
in
every
aspect,
it's
crucial
to
realise
that
there
are
still
a
few
with
a
backward
thought
process.
We
need
to
collectively
break
down
these
stereotypes
and
foster
an
inclusive
environment
for
all."
She
added,
"Also,
how
we
treat
little
girls
is
super
important
because
it
shapes
how
they
grow
up.
We
should
care
for
them,
and
support
them
so
they
can
become
strong
and
confident
adults.
Changing
things
is
not
just
one
person's
job;
it's
something
we
all
need
to
do
together.
Every
girl
should
have
a
fair
chance
at
life,
education,
and
opportunities.
Let's
challenge
old
ideas,
remove
obstacles,
and
create
a
world
where
everyone
is
treated
the
same.
Together,
let's
help
girls
achieve
their
dreams.
Happy
National
Girl
Child
Day!"
