Why Did ED Summon Nia Sharma, Krystle Dsouza & Karan Wahi

Nia Sharma, Krystle Dsouza & Karan Wahi were questioned by ED on July 3, 2024. According to News18, they were questioned about a money laundering case, involving "unlawful" online forex trading via OctaFx trading app and OctaFx.com, an overseas brokers. The further proceedings of the investigation is yet to be reported.

Nia had made her comeback in the TV with Suhagan Chudail after 4 years of hiatus. The actress said to PTI, "It was a conscious decision (to not do TV shows) as the idea was that TV overall in the last few years has really drained in terms of TRP. Every show was shutting in three to four months." She added, "The kind of shows I've done, they had longevity, they were running for years and years. I always believed that a project shouldn't be like, it came and it went off air and no one was aware about it."
