Actor
Sooraj
Ohri
has
carved
a
niche
for
himself
in
the
entertainment
industry
with
sheer
hard
work
and
talent.
From
television
shows
to
films,
the
actor
has
displayed
his
phenomenal
acting
chops
in
various
projects
like
Maharana
Pratap,
21
Sarfarosh,
Parineetii,
and
currently
he
is
in
buzz
for
his
role
in
the
Amazon
Prime
series-
Indian
Police
Force.
But
did
you
know
before
stepping
foot
in
the
entertainment
world,
Sooraj
used
to
do
a
private
job?
However,
for
the
love
of
stage
and
screen,
he
left
the
comfort
of
a
9-5
job
and
decided
to
chase
his
dream
of
acting.
Talking
about
the
same,
Sooraj
says,"In
2011,
I
used
to
work
as
a
sales
advisor
for
a
luxury
retail
company
while
doing
post-graduation
in
marketing.
Post
that,
in
2012,
I
got
a
job
at
Hermes,
which
is
one
of
the
top
luxury
brands
in
Delhi,
and
I
used
to
work
there
as
a
customer
relationship
manager.
I
did
9-5
jobs
for
around
4
years,
but
in
2014,
I
realized
my
real
interest
and
thought
of
quitting
my
job
for
acting.
Actually,
before
doing
the
job,
I
had
done
theater
workshops
and
street
plays
and
had
realized
my
love
for
acting,
but
in
order
to
earn
money
and
become
financially
stable,
I
took
up
a
job."
Revealing
his
parents'
reaction
when
he
dropped
the
bomb
of
his
decision
on
them,
the
actor
says,"I
remember
that
my
dad
and
I
had
a
fight
when
I
told
him
about
quitting
my
job
for
acting,
because
he
is
someone
who
believes
in
living
a
very
stable
life
and
my
mother
always
knew
about
my
dream,
but
thought
I
would
still,
keep
doing,
9-5
job
in
Mumbai
so
when
she
got
to
know
about
this
she
was
also
scared
for
me
but
later
on
both
of
them
supported
me."
Lastly,
revealing
how
he
took
the
plunge
and
how
happy
he
feels
today
when
he
looks
back
at
things,
the
actor
says,"As
soon
as
I
left
my
job,
I
went
on
a
vacation
with
my
mother
to
strategize
on
how
to
begin
acting.
And
when
I
came
back,
I
joined
an
acting
course
and
after
finishing
that
I
went
to
Mumbai
to
become
an
actor,
that's
how
my
journey
started
off.
Today,
when
I
look
back
at
things,
I
feel
so
happy
that
I
made
the
right
decision
for
myself.
Quitting
my
job
was
a
big
risk,
but
it
was
a
need
for
me."
