Republic
Day
Exclusive:
Today,
on
Friday,
26th
January,
India
commemorates
its
75th
Republic
Day,
marking
the
adoption
of
the
constitution
on
this
significant
date
in
1950.
The
constituent
assembly
convened
its
inaugural
session
in
December
1946
and
concluded
its
final
session
in
November
1949.
Subsequently,
the
constitution
was
ratified
a
year
later,
with
Dr.
BR
Ambedkar
leading
the
drafting
committee.
The
theme
for
this
year's
Republic
Day
is
'Viksit
Bharat'
and
'Bharat:
Loktantra
ki
Matruka',
encapsulating
the
nation's
aspirations
and
its
pivotal
role
as
the
guardian
of
democracy.
As
the
whole
nation
is
celebrating
the
special
day,
TV
star
Rohit
Suchanti
also
opened
up
about
the
significance
of
Republic
Day.
ROHIT
SUCHANTI
ON
REPUBLIC
DAY
2024
Currently
seen
essaying
the
lead
role
of
Rishi
in
the
popular
ZEE
TV
show
Bhagya
Lakshmi,
TV
star
Rohit
Suchanti
opened
up
about
the
Republic
Day
celebration
and
the
memories
attached
to
it.
Talking
about
the
same,
Rohit
Suchanti
stated,
"I
have
fond
memories
of
Republic
Day
as
a
child.
It
used
to
be
the
first
big
holiday
of
the
year
in
the
school
where
we
all
used
to
come
together
and
participate
in
all
the
patriotic
activities.
This
day
is
more
than
just
a
holiday;
it
is
a
reminder
of
our
duty
towards
our
nation.
As
kids,
we
did
not
really
know
the
importance
this
day
holds
in
every
Indian's
life
but
now
we
know,
I
think
we
all
should
use
our
rights
and
work
towards
our
duties
as
a
responsible
citizen
of
India.
On
this
special
day,
the
whole
vibe
of
the
country
is
so
different,
the
Indian
flag
gets
hoisted
up
in
the
sky,
patriotic
songs
get
played,
and
the
parade
takes
place,
amongst
other
activities.
I
think
it
brings
us
all
together
as
one
big
family.
I
wish
everyone
a
very
happy
Republic
Day!"
