Discussing the same in an exclusive conversation with FilmiBeat, Rinku Dhawan sheds light on TV serials' current scenario and why she feels Sriti Jha would be perfect if her popular show Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii is remade.

Shedding light on the current downfall of TV serials, Rinku Dhawan said, "I miss the old times. When you talk about why today TV serials have shorter lifespans, you have to understand that earlier TV shows were exclusively watched on TV screens. Now, every TV channel has a digital platform where the particular show is uploaded even before it airs on TV. If there is no exclusivity, how will the TV serial gain TRP? Earlier, people knew there was a specific time to watch a particular show, and hence they never used to miss watching it at that specific time slot. Now people know that even if they miss a particular episode, they can always watch it on a digital platform."

When asked if there have ever been talks about a second season of her popular show Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, the actress said, "Unfortunately, no. Neither have I heard of any such news, nor have the makers approached me with a second season."

Rinku Dhawan Hails Sriti Jha's Acting Skills

However, Rinku Dhawan did mention that if Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii is ever remade, Sriti Jha would be the perfect choice to play Parvati. Explaining why she feels Sriti perfectly fits the role of Parvati, Rinku said, "If not Sakshi (Tanwar), then definitely Sriti Jha. Sriti has also done a character like Parvati in one of her shows. She is a very skilled and talented actor. She is a very good performer and also has a great fan following. Also, she is a very good human being."

Rinku played the character of Chhaya, while her ex-husband Kiran Karmarkar played the role of her on-screen brother Om Agarwal in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. Sakshi Tanwar played the titular role of Parvati. The show ended in 2008 after successfully running for eight years.
