Rupali Ganguly Defamation Case: Rupali Ganguly has been under the limelight ever since her stepdaughter Esha brought several allegations against her in a defamatory social media post where the latter accused the Anupamaa star of being abusive towards her father and her mother. She also accused the actress of being the reason behind their divorce. After which Rupali slapped Rs. 50 Cr defamation compensation against Esha after which Esha has taken down all the posts. Now, Rupali Ganguly's lawyer, Sana Raees Khan, reveals why exactly Rupali sought Rs. 50 Cr compensation from Esha calling the latter's move of deleting the her posts their 'victory'.

Why Did Rupali Ganguly Seek 50 Cr Compensation From Esha?

In an interview with NDTV, Sana said revealing the reason, "The Rs 50 Crore amount specified in the defamation notice represents the serious damage caused to Ms Rupali Ganguly's personal and professional reputation due to baseless and defamatory statements made against her. This amount reflects not only the emotional and reputational harm but also the impact on her career, which she has dedicated years to building. Ms. Ganguly believes that such false allegations should have significant consequences and discourage similar actions in the future. In the same interview, Sana said calling it 'victory' after Esha deleted her social media posts against the Anupamaa star, "She has not responded to the notice. She has deleted her Twitter account and removed all her defamatory posts. The deletion of defamatory posts following our notice reinforces the principle that false statements carry consequences and highlights the importance of safeguarding an individual's reputation from baseless attacks. Her stepdaughter has taken down the defamatory posts following our legal notice which we see as a meaningful step toward justice. Sana Raees Khan mentioned in the legal notice how Rupali Ganguly endured mental trauma for these allegations and how these caused her losing professional opportunities. She further revealed that the actress remained silent out of dignity, however, she was forced to take legal actions after her son was dragged into the matter.
