Shravani's Sonal Khilwani Reminisces About Makar Sankranti Celebration In Her Hometown

Shemaroo Umang's popular show 'Shravani' continues to touch the hearts of the audience with its interesting story. In the current track of the show, Shravani (played by Sonal Khilwani) is facing many difficulties in her personal life and is facing every challenge bravely and emerging as an inspiration for her viewers. As the festival of Makar Sankranti is near, Sonal Khilwani is very excited to celebrate the festivities and remembering the days of her hometown Banaras, she shared some special things related to this day with the audience.

Actress Sonal Khilwani who plays the lead character of 'Shravani' while talking about her memories related to Makar Sankranti festival says, "The auspicious day of Makar Sankranti is variously celebrated and called by different names in every community and culture. Like I come from UP and on the day of this festival there is a lot of enthusiasm among the people and different dishes and sweets are prepared. We all used to fly kites together while playing songs on the system and enjoy delicious delicacies. Preparations for it would start a week in advance at my home in Banaras. Being busy with the shooting of 'Shravani' show, this time I could not visit home but I will definitely experience the excitement of this day in Maharashtra and enjoy it."

Recalling the special memories of Uttarayan celebrated in Ahmedabad, Shravani said, "When I was 4 or 5 years old, I used to live in Ahmedabad. There this festival is celebrated as Uttarayan. Even though I was very young, I still cherish the memories of celebrating the festival there."
