Star Plus Issues Notice To Pravisht Mishra-Shagun Sharma's Yeh Hai Chahatein, Reduces Budget By Half?

Yeh Hai Chahatein: Star Plus is on an axing mode these days. Last month, the number one channel pulled the plug on Imlie and Pandya Store. Although the two shows were performing well, the leading GEC didn't wish to drag them further. As result of the drop in viewership, Imlie and Pandya Store went off air.

While shows like Anupamaa, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Jhanak are performing well in terms of TRPs, Yeh Hai Chahatein and Teri Meri Doriyaann have witnessed a fall in the numbers.

If the recent buzz is to be believed, Star Plus has issued a notice to a particular show due to decrease in viewership. We are talking about Yeh Hai Chahatein. The show starring Pravisht Mishra and Shagun Sharma have seen several changes in the past two months.

According to TellyExpress, Star Plus gave a notice to the production house, slashing the budget by half. The makers are reportedly unhappy with the development. The timings of the show has also be changed from 11pm to 11:15pm, which has caused the low TRPs.

The change is said to be a part of Star Plus' strategy to revamp the show.

WILL YEH HAI CHAHATEIN GO OFF AIR?

YHC was rumoured to be going off air after the culmination of IPL 2024. A source exclusively earlier told Filmibeat, "Star Plus has several shows lined up in the upcoming months. Teri Meri Doriyaann is under the scanner as the channel is monitoring the ratings of the show. Yeh Hai Chahatein is performing well at the 11pm slot but the programming team is expecting the drama to garner at least a TVR of 1.4. YHC is not under the scanner but there are chances that the show might face the axe if ratings drop."

Yeh Hai Chahatein is the spin-off off Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya and Karan Patel starrer Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. The show earlier starred Abrar Qazi and Sargun Kaur Luthra in lead roles. Last year, Pravisht Mishra and Shagun Sharma replaced the duo as the new leads after the generation leap was introduced.
