Superstar Singer 3 promo: The wait is about to be over. Sony Entertainment Television is all set to take the audience on a roller coaster ride filled with music and talent as it will launch the new season of Superstar Singer. The first two seasons emerged as a massive hit and the channel is now gearing up for the new edition.

The singing reality show will go on air from Saturday (March 9). It will replace Indian Idol 14 that will end on a blockbuster note with a grand finale on March 3. Superstar Singer season 3 will air on weekends at 8pm on Sony Entertainment Television.

Veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar shared his advice for the contestants, who will feature in the show.

Sharing his advice for the budding talent, Guest Mentor Javed Akhtar shares, "India is brimming with immense talent when it comes to singing and every little kid on the show that I have seen, for me, is like a superstar singer. I would like to encourage the kids by saying that you should forge your own path. You have immense potential to achieve greatness, and you don't need to follow in anybody's footsteps. I also believe that output will only be there if there is intake," Akhtar said in a statement as quoted as saying by IANS.
