Super Star Singer 3 contestants list: Sony Entertainment Television is all set to spice up its weekend programming with the launch of two new shows this weekend. After entertaining the audience for over three months, Indian Idol 14 and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 ended with blockbuster grand finales.

Indian Idol 14 grand finale turned out to be a star-studded affair as Sonu Nigam and Neha Kakkar graced the event. Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal's performance stole all the limelight. The top three finalists- Vaibhav Gupta, Subhadeep Das Chowdhury and Piyush Panwar left no stone unturned to impress the audience with their performances.

Vaibhav beat the other finalists to win Indian Idol season 14 and take home Rs 25 lakh as winner prize money. He also received a brand-new Brezza car. Wondering which show will replace Indian Idol 14 on Sony Entertainment Television? The channel has already finalised the show which will take over the slot of Shreya Ghoshala and Vishal Dadlani's show.

Superstar Singer 3 will go on air from March 9 at 8pm slot on weekends.

Guess what? Haarsh Limbachiyaa will be hosting the singing-based show on Sony TV. Ahead of the launch, he opened up about turning host for Superstar Singer season 3.

"I am really excited to be hosting Superstar Singer 3, for two main reasons, the first being that I love music and the second and most important reason being that I get a chance to witness our country's young wonders creating magic on stage with their voice. Plus, being a parent myself, I have got to learn so much more about kids and I enjoy being around them; they lighten up the atmosphere with their sheer innocence. Along with adding a touch of entertainment, I will strive to motivate the young ones, keeping them calm and building their confidence, ensuring they are at ease and having fun along the way," Harsh Limbachiyaa said in a statement released by the channel and quoted as saying by ETimes.

Haarsh said that he feels blessed to get an opportunity to interact with musical legends- Javed Akhtar, Pyarelal Ramprasad Sharma, and Kavita Krishnamurthy. These three will serve as special guests on the show while Neha Kakkar will be the main judge.
