Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Written Updates August 23: In tonight's episode of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, the residents of the Gokuldham society will take a sigh of relief as Abdul has finally returned. While everyone was quite concerned about Abdul being missing for a while, the latter assured that he was safe and that everything was fine at his end. But he is definitely hiding something. While Abdul is overwhelmed with the society members' love and affection for him, he has a dark secret which is likely to create havoc in the Gokuldham society.

Meanwhile, in the last episode of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Inspector Chalu Pandey assured the members of the Gokuldham society that he would find Abdul at the earliest and would call Bhide before coming to the society. While Bapuji and the ladies continued to be concerned, Taark Mehta revealed that Pandey had confirmed that he would find Abdul in a day. Meanwhile, Goli left everyone surprised after he decided to go on a fast until Abdul returned and his gesture won everyone's hearts.

Later Pandey called Bhide that he was coming to Gokuldham society which left the latter thinking that the police had found Abdul. The news had spread a wave of joy and celebration in Gokuldham society and everyone was seen beaming with happiness. But this happiness was short-lived as it appeared to be a mere misunderstanding.

As Chalu Pandey arrived at the Gokuldham society, he was welcomed with a huge round of applause. However, as Madhavi offered him sweets, Pandey revealed that Abdul was still missing which left Bhide in a tight spot as everyone thought Bhide spread false information. Though Bhide and others thought Pandey was playing a prank, Pandey confirmed that he had come for the investigation of Abdul's missing case.

However, despite all the effort, the society members continued to be in disbelief. Amid this chaos, Abdul returned to Gokuldham society and left everyone shocked and happy.'
