Teri Meri Doriyaan Star Himanshi Parashar On Feedback: It Can Help You See Your Work From Different Perspectiv

Actress Himanshi Parashar, known for her roles in the ZEE5 web series PHD (Pyaar Hai Drama) and Teri Meri Dooriyaan on Star Plus, is making waves with her latest project, the horror film Adbhut. She says that she takes feedback positively, even if it is negative, as it helps one analyze their work from others' perspectives, and she feels that when someone comments negatively, they might be correct to some extent.
"I believe that when someone criticizes your work, they might not be entirely right, but there could be some truth in what they're saying-maybe 20, 30, or even 50 percent. If someone takes the time to talk about your work, it's worth listening to and evaluating what they actually mean. Others notice your work and have their own opinions, just like you have your own opinions about your work and others' work too," she said.
"When someone gives feedback on your performance, it can help you see your work from a different perspective. I've always valued feedback from my co-actors, directors, and producers. They used to tell me what I could improve on, and I always listened and took it positively. I really like that about myself-that I can take criticism well. If the feedback makes sense to me, I try to make changes based on it. I think that's a good approach," she added. For her, it's important to contribute positively to the environment on the set. She said, "I believe in being very professional about my work. I make an effort to be on time, get ready on time, and ensure that no one has to wait for me. I like to be prepared because I know I'm a disciplined person, and that discipline is what helps you succeed in the long run. It's important to be professional, disciplined, and punctual, as this earns you respect."
"Just as you expect others to be professional and do good work, when you're disciplined, others will respect that and learn from you. They'll also become more sincere. The real fun and enjoyment on set come when your work is done properly. If you're not working properly and just messing around on set, it's not fun. So, it's better to be professional and focused first, then enjoy the process. I believe that true enjoyment comes when you take your work seriously and don't make others feel like you're taking it for granted. That's the last thing I'd want to do," she added. A daily soap means tight deadlines and high-pressure situations, but she feels they are more challenging for the direction and camera teams than for the actors. "They have to set up the lights and plan the camera angles. As actors, we don't have the luxury of taking too much time for each shot, saying 'one more take' repeatedly. We have to be quick with our lines because time is limited. So, when the shot is ready, that's when the actor's job begins," she said.
"You need to know your lines and be clear about what you're doing so you don't waste time. Even when it comes to touch-ups, everything speeds up because everyone is watching you. It's important to look good, so while you're going through your lines, you also have to be quick with your touch-ups. I think it all works out well when the entire team is in sync and everyone is doing their part efficiently," Himanshi concluded.
