A reliable industry source exclusively told Filmibeat, "Star Plus pulled the plug on the show as the numbers had dropped since the past two months. Although the channel gave the makers an extension of one month, the ratings didn't pick up. As the channel had several shows in the pipeline, it decided to axe Teri Meri Doriyaann to make way for a new daily soap."
HIMANSHI PARASHAR ON TERI MERI DORIYAAN GOING OFF AIR AFTER SAHIBA DEATH
Himanshi Parashar, who played a double role in Teri Meri Doriyaan, opened up about her show going off air. She said that she 'felt heavy in her heart' when she got the news about the show ending.
"I remember being emotional when I heard about Sahiba's character dying in the show, that was heartbreaking for me," Himanshi was quoted as saying by Tellychakkar. She said that it was 'quite hard for everyone as the show wrapped up' and the cast and crew shot the last episodes together.
Himanshi expressed her happiness on being a part of a show, which aired on Star Plus. As she made her Hindi TV debut with Teri Meri Doriyaann, the actress maintained that show will always remain close to her heart
