Filmibeat earlier informed our readers about Star Plus axing Teri Meri Dooriyaann serial after a drop in numbers. The channel wanted to replace it with a new show to cement its leadership at the 7pm slot. The programming team has now modified their plans by giving an extension to Teri Meri Doriyaann.

A source earlier told Filmibeat, "Star Plus has decided to pull the plug on Teri Meri Doriyaann. The show witnessed a massive decrease in viewership following Indian Premier League 2024. While the makers tried their best to revamp the show and bring more eyeballs, the numbers didn't rise. As a result of low TRPs, Star Plus' programming team has taken the call to axe the show and replace it with the Hindi remake of a popular regional show."

There's a big U-turn as the channel has given an extension to the makers to revamp the storyline and bring back the lost eyeballs. The production house has planned a major twist to spice up the drama in the show. Yes, you read that right!

DILJEET DEATH IN TERI MERI DORIYAANN

We earlier shared an update about Yogendra Vikram Singh making an exit from Teri Meri Dooriyaann. The actor, who was seen as Diljeet, has confirmed his departure from the show as he was not pleased with the character development. Ayesha Singh and Neil Bhatt's Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin co-star had joined the daily soap a few months back.
