Udaariyaan New Cast After Leap: Shreya Jain (Meher) Says She Was 'Inspired By Isha Malviya's Character'

New Faces, New Drama

The narrative captures a clash between Sarab and Meher, who find themselves on opposing sides in matters of the heart. Shreya Jain, playing Meher, shares her feelings about joining the show. "I am thrilled to join this show. Udaariyaan is undeniably popular, and being part of it feels like a blessing," she says.

Meet Meher

Shreya describes her role as Meher, Aasmaa's daughter and Haniya's sister. "Meher is strong-willed and views love as something that could potentially hold her back," she explains. Her selection process was swift. "I auditioned and got a call the next day. I was shortlisted and asked to go to Chandigarh. The rest is history," she adds.

A Fan Turned Star

Shreya reveals she has followed the show in bits and pieces. "My nani loves it and has been following it from the beginning. Even if that wouldn't have been the case, I would have still ended up watching it because it is so popular," she says.

Family's Reaction

Her family's reaction was overwhelmingly positive. "My family was super happy. They called all our relatives and shared their excitement about me playing Meher. My nani is a big fan of the show, and she was on cloud nine," Shreya shares.

Bonding with Co-Actors

Shreya speaks highly of her co-actors, Avinesh Rekhi and Aditi Bhagat. "Working with them is amazing. I learn a lot from them. Aditi often guides me. We have many conversations on set and are gradually getting to know each other well," she says.

Inspired by Isha Malviya

Shreya also expresses her admiration for Isha Malviya's character. "She did a phenomenal job. Her character turned negative in the show, and it gained a lot of popularity. Being new to the industry, the way she portrayed her character was unforgettable and commendable," she remarks.
