Udne Ki Aasha Actress Tanvi Shewale: Television Reflects Society Because It Acts As A Mirror

Actress Tanvi Shewale, who plays the role of Roshni in Rahul Tewary and Rolling Tales Production's Udne Ki Aasha, believes that television is a true reflection of society. She acknowledges that at times, certain aspects may be exaggerated for entertainment purposes or as required by the medium.
"For me, television reflects society because it acts as a mirror. Whatever happens in real life is often depicted on TV. Yes, sometimes certain storylines are stretched, but that's because it's television, and the story has to be extended for TRPs and all that. But at its core, I believe television stories are about daily life," she says.
Speaking about her show, she explains, "I think our show is very real and natural because it portrays the life of a middle-class family and the everyday problems they face. It shows the normal routine of life-going to the office, dealing with financial and family issues, etc. Everything is depicted in a very realistic manner, including the characters. People often say that the characters feel authentic, and I agree. That's what makes our show stand out from other TV shows."
She adds, "In most shows, the focus is primarily on the leads, but in ours, every character has their own story. Whether it's Renuka, Roshni, Akash, Tejas, Ria, or Paresh, everyone's story is important. I think viewers are more interested in seeing that variety of perspectives."
Meanwhile, Tanvi says she has always chosen meaningful roles over lengthy ones.
"As an actor, I believe playing an impactful character is always better, whether the role is short or long. The significance of the character matters more than the screen time. For example, I'm playing Roshni, whose life is full of challenges and complexities. I feel very fortunate to have such a wonderful character to portray," she adds.
