APARA MEHTA ON HER STINT IN ANUPAMAA
Last year, Apara Mehta entered Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna's hit show Anupamaa. Her performance as Malti Devi left a strong impact on the audience. The ardent fans of the show were disappointed when Malti Devi's character was ended.
"My character ended at the right time as the makers introduced a new track. I had a blast shooting for Anupamaa as I explored a different shade with Malti Devi."
APARA MEHTA REVEALS THE REASON SHE SIGNED UNITED STATE OF GUJARAT
"Every now and then I have been offered Hindi daily soaps. When I heard the subject, I felt this is the right project. I also wanted to do something for my mother tongue. I am heavily invested in Gujarati theatre but when I got to know about United State of Gujarat, I knew I wanted to be a part of the show.
"I was told that the show will be mounted on a grand scale. Jab Maine Hindi mein itna saara kaam hua hai, I wanted to use it for my mother tongue. Marathi and Bengali serials are doing so well and I believe that United State of Gujarat will work wonders for the regional market. When it well written, shot and performed, the show turns out to be a hit. Gujarat has given the highest ratings to all the Hindi shows, so why not give the audience a show in their own language?," she added.
APARA MEHTA ON WORKING WITH RAGINI SHAH, RAJ ANADKAT
"I and Ragini Shah go a long way. We are shown as best friends in the show. We have known each other since a long time as we have worked in Gujarati theatre. If you see the show, you will not find us acting. Bilkul real life jaisa lagega. When we both started shooting for USOG, we both felt that it came 'so naturally' to us. Our chemistry will be on fire," the Hamari Saas Leela actress said.
