Shakti, who joined the show in June 2023, will bid adieu to the audience after the time jump is introduced.

Rajesh Ram Singh earlier denied the buzz about the leap in the serial after he witnessed fan backlash. The ardent viewers expressed their displeasure over the leap, calling it a 'bad decision'. To keep the situation under control and avoid fan backlash, the producer refuted the rumours about the leap and said that Shakti Arora was not leaving the show. However, his side of the story turned out to be false as the makers had already made up their mind.

Nirmit Kaur Ahluwalia's Choti Sarrdaarni co-star Hitesh Bharadwaj has been locked as the new hero of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. He will be seen opposite Bhavika Sharma following the leap in GHKPM.

"Hitesh aced the audition test and seemed the perfect choice for the role. He will be seen in a different role in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. Shakti Arora will shoot for his last episode in the upcoming days. Wondering when will Shakti Arora shoot his last episode for Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein serial? The answer is June 18. The Silsila actor will wrap up his final sequence for the hit serial in the second half of the month, according to a report in TellyExpress.

The makers have not confirmed the development; however, the Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi actor is expected to finish his shoot by the next two weeks as the makers plan to implement the leap by June end.

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin started with Neil Bhatt, Ayesha Singh and Aishwarya Sharma as the leads. Last year, the makers introduced a generation leap to spice up the storyline. Bhavika entered the show as Ayesha and Neil's on-screen daughter while Shakti played her love interest in the romantic drama.

The show is the Hindi remake of Bengali drama Kusum Dola. It replaced Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 in October 2020.
