Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Rohit Purohit replaced Shehzada Dhami in April 2024 as Armaan Poddar in the Samridhii Shukla starrer TV show. When he entered the show, many viewers didn't think he was suitable for Armaan. Some felt he looked too mature for the character. However, through sheer hard work and patience, Rohit successfully grasped Armaan's character traits. Today, viewers and fans wholeheartedly accept and appreciate his portrayal of Armaan Poddar on screen. In an exclusive conversation with FilmiBeat, Rohit opened up about why he was always confident that the audience would accept him as Armaan.

When asked how he feels now that people have happily accepted him as their Armaan Poddar, the actor said, "I am very content and happy. When I first entered the show, I knew that after a few episodes, when I would create the required chemistry with the actors and directors, the audience would accept me. So, I knew this would happen; I would become Armaan. When you start portraying a new character, you make the character. But when you portray a character that someone else has already established, people's expectations are higher, and they observe you more closely."

The actor further added, "Everyone has a separate way and personality to play a specific role; my approach to portraying a character has always been different. So yes, I feel very grateful that people have accepted me as Armaan. The direction team has helped me a lot and continues to assist me with scenes. I am very happy that people have accepted me as Armaan and are showing so much love. I feel blessed."
