Rajan Shahi issued a long statement to announce the departure of the two actors from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. He accused them of unprofessionalism, stating that Shehzada Dhami misbehaved with the crew members and caused trouble on the sets.

Talking about Pratiksha, he said that she failed to meet the requirements of her character and hence, was fired from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. After their departure, the production house brought Rohit Purohit as Shehzada's replacement.

Breaking his silence on the YRKKH controversy, Shehzada said that he was hurt with Shahi's actions. He alleged that he is yet to receive his dues from the production house. The Choti Sarrdaarni actor said that Rajan Shahi commented on his upbringing, which deeply hurt him.
