Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai news: Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is one of the longest-running shows on Indian television. At a time when daily soaps have faced the axe within six months, YRKKH has been entertaining the viewers since January 2009.

The show started with Hina Khan and Karan Mehra as the leads and later, Shivangi Joshi-Mohsin Khan took over the charge from them. Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod were introduced as the third generation leads in 2021.

Last year, the makers incorporated another leap and locked Samridhii Shukla and Shehzada Dhami as the new leads. While Shehzada was fired from the show, Samridhii continues to be an integral part of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

SAMRIDHII SHUKLA ON MEETING PRANALI RATHOD ON YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI SET

Replacing a well-established pair like Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod is not an easy feat. The TRPs of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai dropped when the makers replaced the leads in November 2023. However, the ratings gradually improved and the audience accepted Samridhi Shukla as the new face of YRKKH.

The TV diva recently opened up about meeting Pranali Rathod while shooting a promo of the show and shared her experience. She was all praise for Akshara aka Pranali.

Samridhii revealed that she was very excited to meet Pranali Rathod as she had featured in Barrister Babu, which was directed by Mangesh (who also helmed Saavi Ki Savaari). The actress said that Pranali didn't know about her but she got to know about Pranali through people who praised her..

"She's super sweet and easy. In fact on her farewell, I told her I know it's hard to say goodbye but I wish for you to reach far far heights and do great work," Samridhii Shukla told TellyExpress.
