When Yeh Rishta started with Hina Khan and Karan Mehra as leads, little did anyone know that it would turn out to be a huge success. After their exit, Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi took over the charge. Mohsin and Shivangi's crackling chemistry set the TRP charts on fire, leaving the audience mighty impressed.

The creative team introduced a generation leap, paving the way for Mohsin and Shivangi's exit. Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod joined the show as Abhimanyu and Akshara, earning a special place in the hearts of the viewers. Last year, the makers took another leap and made Samridhii Shukla and Shehzada Dhami the new leads.

However, Shehzada was fired from the serial due to unprofessionalism. Rohit Purohit has joined the show as his replacement.

Guess what? Gaurav has entered Anupamaa as Aashish Mehrotra's replacement. He is playing the role of New Toshu in Anupamaa starring Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna.

When asked about his role and comeback to YRKKH, Gaurav said in an interview that he was hoping to return to Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai; however, he got an offer for Anupamaa. He didn't confirm if he will stage a comeback to the hit show.
