Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Today Episode: In tonight's (September 28) episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Armaan (Rohit Purohit) and Abhira (Samridhii Shukla) touch Vidya's feet and as a pandit arrives at the Poddar house, announcing that he has come to perform someone's last rites, shocking everyone with the preparations he begins.

Kaveri enters and says that since Abhira and Armaan are leaving, their family is broken, and thus these will be the last rites for the family. Vidya tries to stop her, but Kaveri tells her to remain quiet, saying that she doesn't want to speak with her since Vidya made decisions without consulting her.

Kaveri says that they have all made her realize that the family no longer needs her. She gives Vidya a mala and tells her to decide whether to keep the family together or let it break. If Vidya chooses not to keep the family together, she must place the mala around Kaveri's neck.

Vidya responds that, despite her desire for the family to stay united, no one considered her happiness.

VIDYA DECLARES SHE WILL NOT ACCEPT ARMAAN AS HER SON

Vidya declares that she will not accept Armaan as a son now that he is not leaving the house. Rohit and Ruhi come to Vidya's room to console her. Vidya explains that by marrying Abhira, Armaan has taken away their hopes of becoming great-grandmother and grandmother.
