Last month, Sony Entertainment Television played a big gamble by introducing a supernatural show in its weekday slot at 8pm. While the show opened with a TRP of 0.5, the numbers have dropped to 0.3, according to the latest BARC TRP ratings week 28.

A reliable source told Filmibeat, "Aami Dakini is nowhere close to the success of Aahat. However, it has performed better than other properties on the channel, including shows with bigger names. Ronit Roy, Harshad Chopda and Shivangi Joshi couldn't bring TRPs for the channel, but Hitesh Bharadwaj-Rachi Sharma somehow garnered more numbers at the 8pm slot, opening the doors for a new concept."

"I won't call Aami Dakini a flop, but it has to reach a significant level to be labelled as a hit show. It is performing decent in terms of Sony TV's standards but it has the potential to cross the 1 TVR-mark, if promoted well," the source further quipped when asked about Aami Dakini's scope of improvement.

And now, the story will take a turn with the entry of a new character. KVB spoke about his role, stating that he was convinced with his character and hopes the audience would also like his work.

"The role of the Professor is quite interesting as you can never really know what's going on in his mind or what to expect from him. He walks a fine line between intellect and mystery, which gives me a lot of room to play with subtlety and nuance," Karanvir Bohra told IANS in a statement released by the channel's team.

With Karanvir Bohra's addition, the plot is expected to become more interesting and gripping.
