Talking about his decision to put his papers down, Ankit told Filmibeat, "The show is taking a leap and they were asking me to play the father and that too of a guy who is of my age."

Still shooting in Kolkata for the show, Ankit also shared his plans post wrapping the shoot. He stated, "I'm still in the process of wrapping up-just two or three days of shoot are left. I'll soon be returning to my family in Mumbai after being away for almost a year, so I'm really excited to be back at my base. Once I'm back, I'll start testing for new shows-this time, definitely looking for a more balanced story, not just female overly dominant show."
